Muhammed is 19 years old and before taking part in Galvin’s Chance 2014 had never worked in catering before. He started the training armed with passion and enthusiasm and at the end of the four week training obtained a month long placement in the kitchen at Intercontinental Hotel Park Lane. He was inspired by the Head Chef Stirling, and after impressing the team at the hotel is now delighted to be undertaking a full time chef apprenticeship with the hotel.
Muhammed has been through the care system in Croydon and has no family supporting him here; so he is really pleased he had such support and mentoring given to him by Ian Willard at BlueTouch Consultancy as well as his Springboard mentors. He started his apprenticeship in February 2015.
